Tony has over 20 years experience in the Civil Engineering field in the UK & Ireland holding positions in both public & private organisations. He began his career as a Trainee Technician with a small Local Authority in the North-West of England & through hard work and determination worked his way up to Associate Director with one of the Largest Consultancies in Europe. As a Design Team Manager he was responsible for the delivery of the detailed drainage design for a €1 Billion programme of road construction works in Ireland managing a team of Engineers & Technicians in Ireland & the UAE. He has experience in the design & construction of a broad range of water & wastewater related projects in the UK & Ireland, including Main Drainage Schemes, Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) & the implementation of Drainage Area Studies included the assessment of drainage systems in relation to hydraulic capacity, structural condition assessment, sewerage rehabilitation and writing asset management plans. His particular area of expertise is in the hydraulic analysis & design of sewerage systems using Infoworks & Microdrainage (WinDES). Tony is currently a member of the Kerry County Development Board and the Agriculture & Fisheries Sub-Committee Specialties Rainwater Harvesting System Design; Stormwater Management; Foul& Stormwater Drainage Design; Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS) Design; Hydraulic Modelling: Infoworks & Micro-Drainage; Project Management; Site Supervision; Planning Application Preparation & Assessment.
